NGOs call for ban on flatfish fishing in Western Baltic to protect cod

A number of NGOs announced on Thursday 23 February that they had written to the European Commission to call for the closure of the flatfish fishery and a ban on by-catches of cod in the western area of the Baltic Sea in order to protect cod resources.
