15/02/2017 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 15 February, the European Commission sent reasoned opinions to the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Spain, Croatia, Luxembourg, Portugal, Romania, Sweden and Slovenia over the failure to notify the complete transposition into their national legislation of Directive 2014/67/EU on the posting of workers. This is the second stage of an infringement procedure launched in September 2016 that initially targeted 15 member states (see EUROPE 11630). This directive particularly provides the tools for tackling fraud and should have been transposed in June 2016. The member states concerned now have two months to comply or else face the risk of being taken to the Court of Justice. (JK)
