Court sets aside General Court judgEment and upholds Commission decision on Alrosa-De Beers agreement

Brussels, 29/06/2010 (Agence Europe) - With its ruling on 29 June in Case C-441/07 P, Alrosa Company Ltd of Russia v the Commission, the Court of Justice, following the opinion of the advocate general (see EUROPE 9979), annulled the General Court judgement of 11 July 2007 and upheld the Commission decision to make binding De Beers' commitments in 2006 to end purchases of rough diamonds from Alrosa.
