European farmers concerned about new fall in EU banana import duty

Brussels, 24/04/2009 (Agence Europe) - EU banana growers in the Canary Islands, Guadeloupe, Madeira and Martinique (regions of the European Union), at an APEB (Association of European Banana Growers) meeting in Madrid on Monday 20 April expressed concern about the speeding up and extremely worrying turn in bilateral and multilateral banana negotiations (see EUROPE 9707).
