12/11/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Monday 10 November, the Council adopted, without debate, the regulation setting fishing possibilities and related conditions for the Black Sea for 2009, following the political agreement reached at its meeting on 27-28 October (see EUROPE 9770). The regulation sets a total allowable catch (TAC) of 100 tonnes for turbot (provisionally shared equally between Bulgaria and Romania, and a TAC of 12,750 for sprat (a 15% reduction from 2008).
