Public consultation on review of exemptions for shipping companies

Brussels, 23/10/2008 (Agence Europe) - On 22 October 2008, the European Commission opened a public consultation exercise on the planned review of Regulation 823/2000, which allows shipping consortiums exemptions from certain obligations under EU price-fixing rules. The regulation has to be updated to respond to the new business and legislative climate, explains the Commission in a press release.
