Negotiations on two own-initiative reports on financial supervision and speculative funds making good progress

Brussels, 08/09/2008 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday 10 September, the Parliamentary committee on economic and financial affairs of the European Parliament is to adopt two own-initiative reports: the first on the future of financial supervision in Europe as part of the follow-up to the "Lamfalussy" process, drafted jointly by Ieke van den Burg (PES, Netherlands) and Daniel Dãianu (ALDE, Romania), the second on speculative funds and capital investment funds, prepared by Poul Nyrup Rasmussen...
