Lord Tope believes local and regional authorities should be involved in prevention in fight against terrorism

Brussels, 23/04/2008 (Agence Europe) - The local and regional authorities will be central to the implementation of the anti-terrorist strategy of the EU. Alongside the forces of order, they will be responsible for, amongst other things, the implementation of the "prevention pillar" and initiatives for the future in the fight against terrorism and "deradicalisation" in the Member States.
