European Parliament takes stance in favour of consolidating internal market for investment funds

Strasbourg, 13/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 13 December 2007, the European Parliament adopted the report by Wolf Klinz (ALDE, Germany) on the Commission's White Paper on improving the framework for investment funds (see EUROPE 9308). The report focuses on elements that will not be tackled in the revision of Directive 85/611/EC, expected sometime next year, that provides a framework for the Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities.
