13/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - In a decision made on 13 December, the European Court of Justice ruled that a road accident victim could take direct action against the insurance company responsible in the court where he has residency, even if the accident took place in another member state. This complies with Regulation (EC) No. 44/2001 of the Council, which grants more favourable protection to the weakest parties, in this case the accident victim.
