Parliamentary committee considers fight against terrorism is no excuse for violation of human rights

Brussels, 05/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - The members of the Civil Liberties Committee of the European Parliament adopted, at the end of November, a draft resolution stressing that European governments and institutions have often responded to terrorist attacks by adopting laws that have not been sufficiently discussed and which sometimes even violate fundamental rights.
