05/12/2007 (Agence Europe) - According to figures published by Eurostat on Tuesday 4 December, the industrial producer price index rose by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.9% in the EU as a whole in October 2007 compared with September 2007. In September, prices rose by 0.4% and 0.5% respectively. In October 2007, compared with October 2006, industrial producer prices gained 3.3% in the euro area and 3.5% in the EU as a whole. (L.C.)
