Poland in court for incorrect transposition of aircraft security directive on third country aircraft using EU airports

Brussels, 29/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 28 November, the European Commission decided to take legal action against Poland for not having transposed properly the directive on the safety of third-country aircraft using Community airports.

The Commission sent a reasoned opinion to Poland on 27 June 2007 for its failure to notify the measures implementing Directive 2004/36 into national law. Since then, Poland finally communicated to the Commission the relevant measures. Nonetheless, after...
