European Parliament gives green light to proclamation of Charter of Fundamental Rights on 12 December

Brussels, 29/11/2007 (Agence Europe) - In its adoption, on Thursday 29 November, of the report by Jo Leinen (PES, Germany), the European Parliament has given its president Hans-Gert Pöttering a mandate formally to proclaim the Charter of Fundamental Rights, alongside the President of the European Council, José Socrates, and the President of the Commission, José Manuel Barroso.
