Spain sent reasoned opinion over taxation of people employed by diplomatic service

Brussels, 26/10/2007 (Agence Europe) - On Thursday 25 October, the European Commission decided to send Spain a 'reasoned opinion' (formal request) asking it to amend its legislation on people employed in Spanish diplomatic or consular offices. If Spain does not respond satisfactorily to the reasoned opinion within two months, the Commission may refer the matter to the European Court of Justice.
