Brussels, 07/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 13-14 September, the European Commission and Council are organising the second exercise (the first one was held on 30 October 2006) to test the EU's reaction and coordination capacity to a major crisis in an EU member state as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic or terrorist act. Based on a scenario prepared by the member states and the incident centre SIAC, the exercise will be used to assess COREPER's reaction capacity, coordination between the different EU institutions and member states and communications management. The exercise will focus on bioterrorism. (oj)
