Brussels, 07/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - The 'European Citizen Action Service' association (ECAS) is holding a conference in Brussels on 3 October on 'Is Europe really listening to citizens? The ABC of a methodology of participatory democracy'. It will be taking place at the same time as the European Commission is publishing a follow-up report on its white paper on a European communications policy, and follows on from special ECAS debates organised in 2006.
At the conference, three workshops will examine various techniques used to organise participatory democracy, to determine which one would be the most appropriate for following up on the white paper, and which projects would be worth continuing.
