07/09/2007 (Agence Europe) - France complies with the minimum requirements for animal welfare at the time of slaughter and during killing of livestock “albeit with certain gaps, notably the parameters for electrical stunning of poultry”, reads the Food and Veterinary Office (FVO) report published on Thursday 6 September after an inspection mission carried out in France from 12-16 February 2007.
