Brazil tries to breathe new life into global trade round

Brussels, 11/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - After the first EU-Brazil summit in Lisbon, where both sides reaffirmed their commitment to greater liberalisation of global trade under a World Trade Organisation (WTO) deal, the Brazilian government is trying to get the Doha trade round out of the current deadlock. Brazilian foreign minister (who is also head of the Brazilian negotiating team for Doha), Celso Amorim, will be in Europe next week to try and get the ball rolling. This move was agreed in...
