French company DANONE (turnover €14 billion, 88 000 employees) has offered €12.3 billion (including debts), or €55 per share, to acquire the Dutch baby-food specialist NUMICO (turnover €2.644 billion in 2006, 13 000 employees). The new ensemble created by bringing together BLEDINA (annual turnover €450 million), a specialist in the same sector already owned by DANONE, and NUMICO represents a turnover of €3.05 billion.
