11/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - Like their Socialist compatriots, French EPP-ED MEPs, led by Dominique Vlasto, expressed opposition on Tuesday to energy company ownership unbundling because they say this will not guarantee future investment. Faced with the danger of the unbundled European companies being bought up by companies from outside the EU which do not necessarily share European views on future requirements, they call on the European Commission to develop alternative solutions.
