ECONOMIC INTERPENETRATION / (eu) chemicals

CVC CAPITAL PARTNERS is to acquire Dutch company UNIVAR (pre-tax profits of €284 million dollars in 2006, 8000 employees and more than 200 distribution centres for chemical products in the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia) for €1.52 billion, or €53.50 per share. This operation will make it the largest chemical distributor in the USA.
