11/07/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 10 July, the European Parliament voted in favour of four reports concerning increased participation by Romania and Bulgaria in the area of justice, freedom and security. The report by Jörg Leichtfried (PES, Austria) concerning Bulgaria and Romania's accession to the Convention of 26 May 1997 on fighting corruption involving European Community or member state officials was adopted by 648 votes in favour, 7 against and 17 abstentions.
