27/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - Last week, the European Commission presented to the Council a proposal for a regulation aimed at extending until 31 January 2008 the suspension of definitive antidumping duties established by Regulation (EC) No.215/2002 on imports of ferromolybdenum originating from the People's Republic of china (PRC). Member states were consulted on this proposal at an antidumping committee. They did not raise any objections. The Commission also hopes that the Council will adopt its position as quickly as possible so that it may be published in the EU Official Journal by 21 July 2007 at the latest. In February 2002, the Council had established definitive antidumping duties of 22.5% on imports of ferromolybdenum from the PRC. On 23 October 2006, the Commission suspended them for nine months. (ol)
