Brussels, 19/06/2007 (Agence Europe) - In Strasbourg on Monday, the European Parliament ITRE (Industry and Energy) committee adopted the own initiative report by Alejo Vidal-Quadras (EPP-ED, Spain) on “Prospects for the single market in gas and electricity” by 32 votes for, with 3 abstentions, thereby coming out strongly in favour of ownership unbundling (separation of ownership of energy operators' production and network activities) for the electricity sector, while adopting a more...
