Council to give go-ahead to European police mission in Afghanistan

Brussels, 11/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - On 14 and 15 May, EU defence ministers will be meeting at the enlarged General Affairs Council to adopt a joint action on deployment of the EU police mission in Afghanistan (EUPOL). They will also validate a proposal for a concept of operations (CONOPS) as part of Security Sector Reform (SSR) in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), suggest actions to enhance partnership with the African Union (AU) on crisis management, and adopt a joint action...
