Young farmers want aid to be excluded from review of Common Agricultural Policy

Brussels, 11/05/2007 (Agence Europe) - After its 4-6 May meeting in Lleida, Spain, the European Council of Young Farmers (ECYF) published a statement on the review of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) due to start in 2008. It believes the review is a health check of the effectiveness of the current CAP instruments, which should not challenge funding under the first pillar of the CAP (direct aid and market expenditure) that it wants to remain unchanged as foreseen under the 2007-2013...
