Cairo, 27/02/2007 (Agence Europe) - The visit to Egypt by Benita Ferrero-Waldner, EU External Relations Commissioner, dispelled the misunderstanding that reigned between the EU and Egypt on the question of human rights. The way is now open to implementing financial cooperation (EUROPE 9374) and to signing (on 6 March in Brussels) the action plan proposed by the European Commission.
