Member States are not required to guarantee old-age benefits in event of employer's insolvency

Luxembourg, 29/01/2007 (Agence Europe) - In the judgment delivered on 25 January on case C-287/05, the Court of Justice of the European Communities said that the United Kingdom authorities were not required to guarantee workers' rights to old-age benefits relating to complementary company pension schemes in the event of the employer's insolvency.
