Brussels, 29/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission imposed fines totalling €519 million on five groups of companies for taking part in a cartel to fix prices and share customers for some kinds of synthetic rubber (particularly for motor car tyres) in violation of the ban on this type of practice provided for in the EC Treaty (Article 81).
