Health ministers approve strategy proposed by Commission to reduce alcohol-related injury

Brussels, 30/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - Meeting in Brussels on Thursday 30 November, EU health ministers reached a political agreement on the proposal for a Community action programme on public health for 2007-2013 (see yesterday's EUROPE). European Health Commissioner Markos Kyprianou said he hoped an agreement would be rapidly reached with the European Parliament on the financial allocation to be earmarked for the programme.
