30/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved the joint venture between William Hill Organization Limited (WHO) of the United Kingdom, a wholly owned subsidiary of the William Hill group, and Codere SA of Spain. WHO provides gambling services on the internet, in betting offices and by telephone. Codere manages gaming machines, bingo halls and racetracks. The operation was examined under the simplified merger review procedure. (cd)
