Two banks join forces to manage projects in countries of Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Luxembourg, 30/11/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) decided on 28 November to join forces to finance projects in countries to the east of the European Union. This partnership will leverage significant EU funds for the “eastern neighbours” and potentially Central Asia with the EBRD's experience of project financing in the region.
