€450 million for improving vineyards

Brussels, 19/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 19 October, the European Commission adopted the provisional amount of Community aid for the 2006/2007 restructuring and conversion programmes for European vineyards (EUROPE 9288): - €450 million for 56,498 hectares of vineyards. Spain receives the largest financial allocation with €159.5 million, ahead of France (€111 million), Italy (€99.8 million) and Portugal (€32.6 million).
