19/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 18 October, the Committee of Permanent Representatives to the EU (Coreper) adopted, without debate, the EP's single amendment to the Council's joint position on the draft directive setting up technical requirements for inland navigation vessels, replacing directive 82/714/EEC (see EUROPE 9228). The Council is expected to formally adopt the directive on 23 October. (dt)
