19/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - EU ambassadors, meeting in the EU political and security committee (Cops) on 20 October, will take stock of the EU police operation in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). The head of the operation Adilio Custodio will attend the meeting. The Ambassadors will discuss the possibility of extending the mandate (EUPOL, Kinshasa), on the ground since April 2005. The aim is to assist in setting up an integrated police unit in Kinshasa. (dt)
