Satisfied with commitments of collecting companies and music publishers, Commission makes them binding

Brussels, 04/10/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the Commission decided to make legally binding the commitments taken by the five main music publishing companies (BMG, EMI, Sony, Universal and Warner) and thirteen European collecting societies (AEPI, AustroMechana, GEMA, MCPS, MCPSI, NCB, SABAM, SDRM, SGAE, SIAE, SPA, STEMRA and SUISA), regarding Central Licensing Agreements.
