18/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - The EU does not recognise the results of last weekend's referendum in Transnistria where a majority was claimed in favour of the independence proclaimed sixteen yeas ago for joining Russia again. On Monday a spokesperson for Commissioner Benita Ferrero-Waldner said that the EU “does not recognise this referendum or its results”.
