18/09/2006 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday Commissioner Jan Figel met the new president of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), Fritz Pleitgen, to discuss major issues in European policy impacting on the activities and role of public broadcasting services, as well as the objectives to be pursued by the European Year for Intercultural Dialogue 2008.
