10/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - In compliance with Article 28 of the 2002 Regulation on conservation and exploitation of fish resources in the Common Fisheries Policy (CFP), the European Commission adopted on 7 July, a regulation outlining the conditions in which a Member State can inspect Community boats flying the flag of the inspecting Member State but which are under the jurisdiction of another Member State. The country has to notify this intention to the coastal Member State concerned. The regulation (published in OJ L 187 on 8 July 2006) also defines the conditions in which Community inspectors can carry out inspection in Community waters and on Community fishing boats.
