Danuta Hübner and Presidents of outermost regions agree on measures recognising their particular difficulties

Brussels, 10/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - Within the framework of the partnership between the Commission and the outermost regions, Regional Policy Commissioner Danuta Hübner met the Presidents of these regions on Friday. They discussed measures to be adopted with regard to the outermost regions on the basis of Article 299 of the Treaty, which recognises their particular difficulties and calls on the Commission and the Council to adopt specific measures in all Community policies.
