MEPs want to facilitate transmission of civil and commercial acts

Strasbourg, 06/07/2006 (Agence Europe) - MEPs have decided to simplify transmission, interpretation and notification of civil or commercial legal documents throughout the EU. By adopting on Tuesday, the report of Jean-Paul Gauzès (EPP-ED, France) as part of the framework for co-decision procedure, the Parliament has clearly given its support to the Commission's 2004 proposals for improving the 2001 Regulation on interpretation and notification in Member States of legal and extra-judicial...
