Brussels, 22/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Auditors has expressed satisfaction with the quality and management of EU humanitarian to the Asian countries affected by the tsunami on 26 December 2004, which killed over 200,000 people. By January 2006, a total of €5.1 billion had been provided to these countries in humanitarian aid, with €3.4 billion of this sum coming from private donations.
