Brussels, 22/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 22 June, the European Commission adopted a proposal allowing member States greater leeway on national aid to the fisheries sector. It will adopt the new regulation after consulting Member States. The proposal is for an increase in the de minimis ceiling for aid from €3,000 to €30,000 per fisherman over a three-year period.
