19/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 12 June, the Council of EU foreign ministers decided to maintain current EUFOR troop numbers of some 6,700 military personnel in Bosnia-Herzegovina until the end of the year. The presence of EUFOR will remain necessary beyond the end of the year, but numbers could gradually be reduced as Austrian defence minister Gunther Platter suggested at the beginning of March.
