The Japanese toymaker BANDAI (turnover equivalent of around €3.1 billion at end of the tax year at the end of March) has launched a takeover bid for the German doll specialist ZAPF CREATION (turnover of €140.7 million in 2005). BANDAI has offered 10.50 euros per ZPF share, which values the latter at €84 million.
