14/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - After the vote was postponed at the last session of the Parliament in Brussels, the report by British Socialist MEP Stephen Hughes on the protection of health workers against infection from contaminated needles, which recommended notably the use of syringes with a built-in protection device be made compulsory, was finally sent back to the Social Affairs Committee for further consideration by the meeting in Strasbourg on 13 June.
