Ireland has to settle differences over MOX nuclear plant with United Kingdom in European Court of Justice, not in International Court of Arbitration

Luxemburg, 06/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - The European Court of Justice has ruled that Ireland should have taken its case against the United Kingdom over the MOX nuclear power plant at Sellafield to it, and not to the International Court of Arbitration. Ireland, the Court decided, invoked, in the court of arbitration, provisions in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea which are part of Community legal order.
