06/06/2006 (Agence Europe) - On 2 June, the European Commission adopted a draft regulation introducing biometric identifiers in the Visa Information System (VIS) to boost security in the EU, explains a press release. The draft regulation sets out various options whereby Member States can organise joint processing of visa requests in joint visa request centres.
