MinIsters put brake on police border cooperation

Brussels, 03/05/2006 (Agence Europe) - At the JHA Council on 28 April, EU Interior Ministers abandoned a 2005 draft framework decision to facilitate police enquiries up to 50 kilometres beyond the border of another Member State and strengthen cooperation between police forces in border areas (see EUROPE 8994).
